Furniture Project

The Salvation Army’s Haven Furniture Project is located in a large furniture showroom in the former Job Centre in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, selling good quality second-hand furniture at very affordable prices.  The project  supports those in the community who are being rehoused following a period of temporary accommodation by offering basic furniture/home packages at very low cost. Simple payment options are offered where required helping people to reable back into society in a managable, independent way. The project accepts ad-hoc referrals for furniture/home packages from organisations who are helping individuals and families with accommodation.

The project offers various volunteer opportunities, whether it is someone looking to gain experience to help them back into employment or someone who has some spare time and wants to offer something back to the community.
The project relies on donations of second-hand goods from the general public, the income from this shop helps to support the wider work of the Haven Community Centre.

Donations of good quality usable furniture and bric a brac are welcome from the Portsmouth area, please call: 08458 731300 for further details
